The Premises
Integrated Procedures Unit
The £7.5m development is situated on the main site in Withington; the IPU is based above the hospitals main entrance on Oak Road. This new unit will allow five day patient services together under one roof so thousands of patients will receive treatment in one place.
The IPU will give patients better access to the latest treatments and medical procedures developed at The Christie.

Proton Beam Therapy Centre
This building housing the proton beam high energy unit will be the first to be built by the NHS in the UK.
A second NHS Proton Beam unit will be built at the University College of London Hospitals.
The four storey building housing the proton beam high energy unit is accessed from Oak Road and linked to the main hospital through a new glazed walkway.

THE PROJECT
INTEGRATED PROCEDURES UNIT
Situated on the existing Withington Christie Hospital Site, the new build building is above the main hospital entrance.
Air Handlers Northern Ltd have supplied 3off HTM-03 Compliant Health Care quality Medsafe max air handling units.
The air handling units were factory inspected by Client and his representatives and agreed that full compliance was achieved prior to delivery.
The air handling units are serving the interventional, procedures departments and an operating theatre. All air handling units are internal plant room mounted.
PROTON BEAM THERAPY CENTRE
The Centre is a new build also situated on the existing Christie Hospital existing Withington Christie Hospital site, the new building is four storey, and will provide additional clinical space to improve and enhance the existing services already provided. Air Handlers Northern Ltd have supplied eight off HTM-03 Compliant healthcare quality medsafe max air handling units. The air handling units were factory inspected by the Client and his representatives and agreed that full compliance was achieved prior to delivery.
