Case Study

The Weston Libraryopened to readers and researchers of special collections on 29 September 2014 and opened to the public on 21 March 2015. The newly-renovated building accommodates readers of Special Collections with excellent facilities for scholarship.

The mechanical services for the building were installed by Michael Lonsdale Ltd, with Long and Partners the consulting engineers.

Air Handlers Northern Ltd supplied 16 air handling units to this project, which had a high noise and performance specifications.

Two of the air handling units were factory tested at Air Handlers Salford Manchester Factory Test Facility for Noise, Airflow Performance, Power Consumption and air Leakage. These tests were witnessed by the client (Oxford University), the consulting engineer (Long and Partners), and Air Handlers Northern customer (Michael Lonsdale Ltd).
